Pathfinder tail lights are shorter than truck tail lights, probably to make room for the optional spare tire carrier. So... they won't interchange.

I know I am a new guy here but I would not file a claim on my insurance over this. The reason being, this would be a collision claim and could result in skyrocketing premiums for you. My only thought comes from the 80lb maximum load rating on the factory roof rack on my 95 Pathfinder. That's not to say the roof wouldn't support it (I hope the roof would support more than 80lb, otherwise I would hate to see what the Pathy would look like in a rollover) but at the same time I know ...
