Also, have you looked at Sears X-Cargo brands? They are much cheaper. http://www.sears.com/automotive-exterior-accessories-racks-carriers-cargo-carrier/b-1289805741 Looks like another good option and also more affordable, but I am pressed for time before this trip, so i went with the Yakima Skybox ...

I didn't even think of that. I ordered the $50 from ebay, but need it soon and not sure if it will get here in time, so might not hurt to check the big salvage yard near me.

Ok thanks much. I just looked at your thread and what you have looks absolutely perfect. It seems like doesn't go too far forward, so wouldn't obstruct the sunroof. I ordered those rails from ebay and just hope they get here before my trip. The Thule website has "Aeroedge" crossbars for $4...

I have a sportrack box. I have had it on the rig for years now and love it. I got it on clearance for $180 canadian. It's still in like new condition. The thing is like 7 feet long and fits 3 full sized Diggle bags easy. It goes right onto the stock rails no problem. I still need the cross rails, s...

Advice for roof rail cross bar for cargo box?

I have a 2012 Pathfinder and would like to get a cargo roof box for longer road trips. I can't even figure out what kind and size cross bars to put up on the roof. I tried the Fit Guide on the Thule and Yakima sites and they are either vague or just don't work. So what width do I need and also is th...

I was proud of myself for switching out most of the lights and just had the cargo light left. So I tried that and somehow it shorted out all my other lights and also the vehicle wouldn't start. (!). I had to get it towed to a dealership[ and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it at first. ...

Heat issue in 2012 Pathy

I bought a 2012 Pathfinder a couple of months ago and loving it, but having a sporadic issue with the heat coming on. It seems like sometimes I can crank the temp up to 90 (the max) and it will just blow cool air through the vent. Although if I turn the vehicle off and right back on, then sometimes ...

I am still loving my lights, and I am finding that they are so bright that I can just switch the passenger side light on while driving and it's so bright that I can see what I need to on the driver's side. But really makes a big difference at night when unloading items from the vehicle or cleaning i...

Ok it was slim pickings out there, but ordered the 16" wheels and should have the tires on my Pathy soon. Then I just need to find some terrain that makes it worth it all. A trip out West will do it.

Ok was not a lot of choices out there because of the unusual bolt pattern for the Pathfinder. I basically had two choices on ebay. Either the boring ones that came on the Pathfinder S or the slightly less boring ones that came with the Frontier/Xterra. So I went with the latter and probably will ave...

Ok answering my own question, I found a shop that said they could do it: http://www.lightwerkz.net/ "You would be able to send in any set you would like whether new or the existing ones. The labor on your lights is $680. The D2S projector parts package starts at $320. The total estimate is $1,0...

Ok thanks and I'll just play it by ear and chains would probably work to some degree and if not, I'll just get another set of tires this coming Autumn. I will just throw money at the problem if I have to. Right now I'm having trouble finding wheels that will fit the Pathfinder. I was told that I nee...

I upgraded the dome lights to LED and huge improvement

I know there are older threads about this and I found them accidentally when searching for headlight upgrades. But I had to make a new one, because was so easy to do (I am not mechanically inclined) and absurdly inexpensive. I figure may turn on a few more people to this mod. There are five dome lig...

I haven't had it done, personally, but, I know a lot have recommended: www.theretrofitsource.com It seems like that place sells the kits, but doesn't actually do the installation. People are talking about sending their headlamp assemblies out to get retrofitted, so trying to figure where they send ...
