Thanks Terry. Definitely the normal coolant. Tech said it was Nissan brand, but def the green/yellow kind, not the long life stuff.

I'll get it flushed when it's due. I'd much rather error on the side of caution, especially w/the coolant.

I appreciate the info!

Thanks!

So as a follow up, i spoke with the Dealer and they confirmed that they drained the radiator and topped it off with new fluid. However, the service advisor said that they system was not flushed. I've put 12000 miles, since the radiator was installed and the system flushed, but it will be two years i...

Completed the install

I just wanted to followup with some info on the Trans temp gauge install. I was able to do it in about 2 1/2 hours, with little trouble. I started with installing the adapter and short sender first. When i removed the test port bolt, it had a rubber o-ring, which I reused, instead of the copper crus...

Shop charge was a little over 200 dollars. I'm going to give the dealer a call and see what they say. It's odd that they didn't itemize the job better, because they had done so in the past. It was a BIG job though.

As always, thanks for the responses!

@smj999smj , quick thought... i completely missed this in your original reply " with the chains being removed and coolant drained ". I didn't see a coolant charge on any of the paper work. Are you saying, to complete that job, more than likely the rad was removed, drained and new coolant a...

Thanks SMJ! That's the exact information I needed.

I'll proceed w/the gauge install this weekend and post some pictures and info.

Grabbed some Castrol from the local Wal-Mart, 6 bucks and some change. Dealer wanted 15.99 for a quart of Matic S.

Thanks again for the rapid response!

Any tips on installing a trans temp gauge? 07 Pathfinder

I've been digging around online for some info on installing one of these on my 07 Pathfinder. I found a post on another forum with a few different setups, but i'm still not totally clear on a couple of things. Here is thread i'm referring to: http://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f11/update-transmissio...

LOL. No labor charge for that work, as they were doing some Warranty work and had to open the timing cover regardless. I do believe they did some goodwill here. The total job was 7300 dollars. 6500 of it was paid by a third party (Fidelity Warranty Service) I ended up paying the remaining 800 bucks ...

Thanks for the great resources SMJ. Much appreciated. I got the Pathfinder back last night and in total paid just under 1k, for the afore mentioned service, minus the brakes and it's running smooth. I asked the Service Advisor about the transmission inspection and she verified that the warranty comp...

Great advice on the brakes! I called them and asked them to hold off on that job. I will attempt it myself. You've pretty much provided all the details on the job and I'm going to go pick up a manual. Can only be of help, going forward. The Nissan Tech at the dealer who did the tranny flush (current...

Thanks for the response SMJ. The brake job does not include rotor resurface. As far as the PS hose, I thought it was a bit much as well. I don't know the hourly rate, but will be sure to find that out. I did ask them to change the water pump, because they did not recommend that, which is one of the ...

Tranny Fail / Timing Chain Job - Dealer quotes, Sound right?

Hey there. I have an 07 Pathfinder that I purchased from a dealer @ 93k miles. (now at just a little over 107k) I knew of the rad/tranny issues at purchase time, so I paid for the aftermarket/extended warranty they were offering (an extra 1300 bucks). Within a week after purchasing it, I brought it ...

Re: Great write up!

I just have to say thanks to Sayantsi. Great write up. I purchased the same set of CGS, followed your instructions and had zero issues. Thanks so much!! I was done in under 2 hours and can't be happier with the look. Light output is a tad better than the factory lights, once I had them aimed proper...

Forgot to mention..

The images on ProTuning Lab show the CCFL's as blue. They are not blue, but bright white.

Bulb for CG/Anzo's

Can you tell me what kind of bulbs are on those CGS headlights? I'd like to order it as well as a HID kit for the low beam. The Low beams are H3's and the High beams are H1's. I ordered mine from ProTuning Lab. Hope it's ok to link to them. I believe they have some similar w/the HID kit for the low...
