Any reason you aren't considering 255/75 or 255/80? Even GY Duratracs in 255/75 are only 43lbs, they are a little larger than 265/70 and you wouldn't need spacers. 255/80 is a 33" but I didn't check weights.

I just had a Magnaflow 12251 installed for about 200 (parts and labor). I left the stock tailpipe and resonator. It has a slightly annoying drone around 2k that makes me wish I had gone with 5x11 magnaflow (12580 I think). I might try a resonated tip or similar to help with that. I am pretty happy o...

I think the over-the-counter 2" receivers are overrated but modifying theRockyMtnX mount to be a 2" receiver would be awesome. No loss in ground clearance and can still jam a winch on there when needed. Or any other hitch mounted item for that matter (bikes, baskets, etc). I had a 2" ...

I think that thing is the cats ass. I had a quote from a custom fab guy for $450 without the "wings" on each side that extend behind the bumper. And that was for a 2" receiver that came out the bottom grille and the shackle mounts. I was pissed when I heard he stopped making them. It...

I have thought of taking these pictures to a custom fab, just waiting for the cash to do it.

Looks like they aren't investigating anymore. UPDATE 10/26/16: NHTSA has closed its investigation into this issue. No further investigation will be conducted and no recall will be issued. NHTSA’s explanation of its decision is as follows: NHTSA conducted a comprehensive review of data related to thi...

So I've put my 235/85s on. Its only been about two weeks but I really like them so far.

The track differently on the road but they were great on the one occasion I've had them off road. My MPGs are about the same and it corrected my speedometer going from the 30" tires to the 32" tires.

I just finished replacing my front struts and only removed the sway bar. I should not though my replacements were monroe quickstruts so I wasn't dealing with any extra height. I unbolted the top link nut and the removed the bracket on the frame which dropped the sway bar down enough to get a wrench ...

I have a set of 235/85r16 sitting in my garage to go on as soon as I have time.

Several guys in the Frontier/Xterra world run them. The ones I reached out to on different forums rave about the traction from the skinnier tire.

I am excited to get them on and see how they perform.

I haven't dropped the trans pan on a 2012, but the RE5R05A found in the R51 has a screen type filter. When you drop the pan it will be right in your face. Whether it needs changed is something entirely different, but for the 13 bucks its cheap insurance. Like I said, just make sure you have a new pa...

They sell replacement filters for relatively cheap. Just make sure you get a new gasket for the pan with the filter. Looks to be a pretty simply job. Google RE5R05A filter. Should just drop the pan and swap the filter.

The rear differential in the V6 R51 is the R200 (almost identical to the C200k) and the front is the R180.

The M226 is a solid axle found in some Xterra and Frontier models.

The C200 is a different beast altogether but was used in many other Nissan vehicles.

Smj, have you ever rebuilt one of these? I have the rebuild manual (25 from Oregon performance transmissions) and it only mentions a universal spring compressor. The TCM/valve body is probably outside my abilities but the clutches and seals seem pretty straightforward. I figure with 3-4 days of work...
