Well f********************ck. Wired everything up according to the diagram and the radio works fine but I have no sound coming out of the speakers. I put a test light to the speaker outputs and they all work. I guess the next thing is to take the door panels off and test them again at the speakers. ...

I believe that is it. The colors match for once (I haven't been able to find a diagram that does). I'll update when I go back out this evening.

I had a full size Cobra 29LTX in my 97. It takes a little bit of on the fly mod work, but it will fit below an aftermarket radio and I bolted my antenna just forward of the tail light. I would say you could also mount it to the rear bumper.

Ok so I have a nice 97 xe and when I got it it had an aftermarket stereo straight wired without the adapter plugs (some fool cut them out) so when I upgraded I just cut one wire to the old plug and connected my new one. Well my baby went down on me and was sitting for a while so I took the radio out...
