4" lift

So the time has finally come. My shocks are about done. I waited for this moment. Now it's time for a lift. The whole suspension is stock. As all of you know, this can be a rocky ride on the dirt roads. I'd like at least 3" front and back. 4 would be better. Would like to smooth out the ride qu...

Mine is a US model. But I'll have a look anyway. Maybe they put one in, when the dealer imported the vehicle to canada. In the event of the block heater not already installed, how hard would it be to put it in?

Engine Block Heather.

I'd like to install an engine block heater on my 2010 SE.

Does anyone have one installed and/or any knowledge on, how to do it on that peticular model? I never had one and am currently researching for install instructions.

Any input would be much appreciated.

Update on the Hakkapelitta 8, that I wrote about above: They saved me from hitting the back of a burning loggingg truck last sunday. I happened to drive behind a logging truck on a windy highway. On a long, straight stretch of highway, the truck accelerated to about 60 mph. I followed up. A few seco...

I use NAPA gold which is a WIX filter. Oil samples come back terrific at 9k-10k miles intervals and silicon levels are always very low. I don't have much interest reusable filters either. I ran them years ago and really didn't see the benefit and always noticed higher contaminant levels in the oil ...

Thank you for your reply smj999smj I agree with you, that the factory intake system does a very good job in 99% of the time. And I am not the guy, that will ever find himself in the othet 1%. If I ever do the CAI upgrade, than more out of passion for projects on my vehicles, rather than out of neces...

Air Filters

Just wondering what brand of PAPER air filter you guys use. I had a look at my filter a few days ago, and decided it needs to be replaced for the first time. I know that many of you guys have modified to a CAI. But I don't really want to spend that money right now. Therefore I opted to stick with th...

Just went through my first winter with the pathy. I know most of you take a different approach and stay with off road tires all year round. I opted for "real snow tires". So I went and bought a set of factory studded Nokian Hakkapelitta 8. In my case, my wife uses the vehicle to drive the ...

Thanks for the great write up. Just changed the plugs yesterday and, thanks to all the knowledge gathered here, it turned out to be very simple. I bought the truck right around 100.000 miles this past summer, and am now done with my 105k service at 106k on the clock, with the plugs having been the l...

Well, winter here in BC, Canada is coming close to an end. Or at least a pause. Who knows what's still to come. Had my/our first winter with the PF and thought I share my experience. I live up ontop of a very steep driveway that starts with along, narrow curve which turns away from a 10 ft drop. The...

Spark plugs torque specs

Hello my fellow pathfinders I bought new spark plugs and am putting them in the coming weekend. Haven't gotten the service manual yet. Could one of you please let me know, what the torque specs for the upcoming job are. Not sure if I'll take off the intake plenum. Might try without doing so first. B...

R51 SE mod for AUTO mode???

Hi guys. I wonder which modifications one would have to go through, to enable a 2010 SE 4x4 model, to be equipped with the Auto 4x4 mode. Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I understand, the only difference lies in the transfer case. Is the wiring for the 4x4 switch identical on the SE and LE mo...
