You might try letting it idle for awhile; the electric pump for the wet clutch runs at idle, which should warm the fluid some. You could also perform the 4x4 self-diagnostic procedure and check for stored codes: 1. Warm up engine. 2. Move A/T selector lever to “P†position. 3. Turn 4WD shift swi...

Stuck in 4LO - ATP Light? No go?

Hi Guys, Freezing cold here in Canada for the last week, haven't driven Pathy in a 4 days (4WD was left in Auto mode), start it up and go to leave and notice the diff symbol in the 4x4 is filled in, in the dash so that means 4WD not Auto?, move the switch between auto and 4WD and nothing changes on ...

When doing the climb did you have any excessive wheel spin followed by a grab in traction? What happens with these front differentials is that the CV shaft splines will shear off at the diff - sometimes they'll fall inside the diff, sometimes you get lucky and the shaft shears without compromising ...

Front Diff Axel Connection Stripped?

Will try to make this short and give enough detail at the same time. 2005 LE with Auto Tcase, 220,000kms. - Quick 4LO hill climb off trail onto highway on ice. I am not new to 4x4 but new to Pathy 4x4. - Dash indicators appeared to stay 'locked' so moved between 4x4 and Auto, switched from reverse t...

One last observation. Stiffened up the front Ranchos to '7' and now it rails around corners with no body roll or VDC issues. And it can do this now: https://youtu.be/EN_pl1kYiCk Update: Installed new Toe camber bolts and spring carrier LCAs on rear. VDC was going nuts and even the light stuck on in ...

Update: Installed new Toe camber bolts and spring carrier LCAs on rear. VDC was going nuts and even the light stuck on in the dash on the way to alignment. Terrible MPG and swaying on the highway. Post alignment. VDC and slip light went out after driving all the way home on the highway. Drove 'hard'...

Technically it shouldn't affect the camber, but anything is possible once you start moving control arms around. Thanks for the input. Just replacing bolts this weekend. I think I can see how technically is shouldn't affect camber but I can also see how it might if it was toed out really far and it ...

Rear Camber/Toe Relationship

Hi All, Just had it in for alignment after 2" Rancho Quicklift install. Front alignment was easy and no issues. Rear alignment camber was within spec, but both rears were toed out. So, I am going to cut out toe adjustment bolts in spring control arm and install new lower spring carrier arms wit...

In the rears there are two camber bolts per side. One camber bolt is in the coil bucket the other camber bolt is in the LCA. In the LCA the camber bolts are towards the rear more. The bolt I was having an issue with is towards the the front of the car. The gas tank is in the way of removing that on...

I got all new arms. I was just trying to avoid having to remove the axles. On the passenger side I ended up cutting the ball joint then poping it out the rest of the way. I was able to wiggle the new arm in without having to remove the axle. But that was a pain to do. I am exactly where you are at ...

So I've put my 235/85s on. Its only been about two weeks but I really like them so far. The track differently on the road but they were great on the one occasion I've had them off road. My MPGs are about the same and it corrected my speedometer going from the 30" tires to the 32" tires. I...

Let us know how you make out with the new tires and alignment. Today we had some big rain in Western MA and with my stock summer tires that are more than say 60% worn I could get my anti slip to kick in quite easy. I really don't like that it gives me an uneasy feeling I may decide to not put these...

Thanks to you both for the replies. Sorry I didn't see them until now. I did some more looking at the tires and I certainly have some uneven wear from the previous alignment (siping is worn out in some areas and others have lots of siping left) by the PO and now with the lift kit who knows where thi...

Slip Light On Under 'Hard' Cornering

Hi All, I have had this happen a half dozen times now where taking a ramp on/off the highway and accelerating (ie. no foot on brakes) and the slip light will come on and I can hear the ABS engaging. The first two times I had a 500# motorcycle hooked up to the hitch with stock springs and worn out su...

As long as there's not a big difference in outside diameter of the tires (meaning, have one or more tires with very good tread but some near bald, creating a difference in outside diameter between tires), it shouldn't really matter if you have the alignment performed now and then install your other...
