Update: Got it fixed. Just had to be more tenacious and keep trying. Also, made sure to do the count to 10 instead of 7, and for whatever reason it was working better for me today. After the 10 seconds and you put the throttle down again for 20 seconds, you can hear the throttle motor moving around ...

Throttle Body Relearn Woes

So, what was supposed to be simply replacing the spark plugs on my 2006 Pathfinder (well, not it's that simple) has turned out to be a mess! First, I must've bumped the heater hoses because I broke the neck off the heat pipe tube assembly that feeds the front and back heater cores. Ugh. Of course th...

The warranty is 100% coverage up to 80k miles, then prorated after that. I think with your miles it's gone and used up. I had it happen to mine with 79k miles, and they covered it 100%, didn't pay a dime. That is, except that they don't cover if you want your engine block drained to clear out all th...

So, here's an interesting development. I just got back from a trip to Park City, Utah, and used the auto climate control for most of the time. When I left Las Vegas in the morning on my way there, it was a cold 35 degrees, and of course the Pathfinder was cooking me out set all the way down to 65 de...

Can't hurt to try to clean that, I guess. That and the inside sensor to see if it makes any difference.

Thanks, guys!

I read in another post that it was mounted behind the grille in front of the radiator. True?

Genius spot to put that, too. IMHO.

So, it sounds like there's nothing that can be done about it? I was thinking about taking an air hose and blowing out the air sensor that's underneath the dash by the ignition. I didn't know if that would help, but I guess it's worth a shot. But like you said, I think it's tied to the outside temp s...

Auto Climate Control - Either super hot or cold

I have a 2006 Pathfinder with the auto climate control and Bose system. I've found that only on colder days (outside temp lower than about 55) the climate control basically throws hotter than hades heat no matter what temp I set it at, until I take it all the way down to 60. Then it blows cold. Bump...
