There have been some known issues with oil consumption on the VQ35DE's in both the Pathfinder and Maxima. Originally, people were replacing the PCV valve and/or right bank valve cover (in which is the PCV baffle) and some claimed this fixed their issues. The worse, and more prominent issue, has bee...

Excess Oil Consumption with VQ35 engine?

Does anyone know if the VQ35 engine has been known to have oil consumption/burning issues? Back in January I noticed my oil was low by over a quart. Added oil and brought it up to showing full on the dipstick. This would have been about 4 - 5 weeks ago. About a week ago, the Pathy threw a CEL. I don...

31.5 x 10.5 translates to roughly a 265/70/16 which is a common metric tire size. I think you would have clearance issues with the strut, though a spacer or wheels with less offset might help, too. If you look at my thread, you can see I just put 245/75/16's on my stock wheels and they fit nicely. T...

Even better, we got about 6" of fresh powder last night. Driving home from a hockey game, visibility was terrible but the tires stuck to the road like glue. I really do like these tires for snow.

Yep, your right. They fit fine and fill up the wheel wells nicely. Looking forward to having good winter time traction now, especially with a big storm coming in tonight.

If your coils are not too collapsed then you're in good shape for 30.5. Do you have a picture of your truck stance as of today ? Looks like this. Only 118k on it so I don't think the coils would be collapsed much. http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z256/ZappBranigan/Pathfinder/Pathfinder%2004_zps1r...

Decision time on tires: What size for a non-lifted R50?

So I know this is probably a common question but I wanted to throw it out there again to get some input from real-world users. With snow coming in and my crappy Kumho tires being inadequate for that, I've decided it's time for new shoes. This is for an 02 R50 Pathfinder SE, 3.5 and 5 speed 4x4. I kn...

Thanks. Yeah, it really is clean inside and out, I'm impressed at how little it's been used. Only upgrades...

Hi, everybody. I just got a gorgeous, cherry 2002 R50 SE yesterday. It will be my daily driver (I also have a 2004 Suburban that pulls our trailer and is my 'vacation vehicle.') I found out about this forum from the Nissan sub-board over on Expedition Portal ( http://www.expeditionportal.com ) Lots ...
