Checked u joints?
Fluid is clean.

Have not checked u joints. Would they cause issue in only "almost stopped" then acceleration and not starting from a full stop?

Thanks for the help!

Shudder at very low speeds

08 LE V8. 138k miles. Original radiator replaced. Recently I am starting to get a shudder, what seems to be either the torque converter or the tranny. It happens only after you slow down to almost a stop, and then go to drive off (without stopping). Say coming up to an intersection. It shudders for ...

I get the point, and that makes sense.
What I don't get though is technically I am running more air than the stock as I am on 285/65 tires.

Thanks guys for the responses.
All very useful info.

@smj999smj I do do a fair bit off off roading so an all season wasn't ideal for me. That being said the LTX is a great tire I had on my 4Runner, so a very valid suggestion.

@Thupertrooper Very interesting info, thank you.

Bigger tires- how to improve ride?

Hoping to get the wisdom of others here. Since this is ride related I posted it in suspension. I got a 2008 LE V8, came with 265/60R18 tires stock. I have since switched to Bf Goodrich AT KO2, but at 285/65R18. So a reasonably bigger and heavier tire. I primarily did this because I really like the l...

Is it that the V8 Pathfinders don't leak...or that there is such a small percentage of them compared to V6 models that we just don't hear about a lot of them failing? Also, the majority of failures are on 05-06 models, but there are still plenty that have failed on 07-10 models. I wouldn't be so co...

Your mechanic is wrong. All Nissan trucks with automatic transmissions have a radiator with an integral transmission fluid cooler. You can see on the part diagram linked below the trans cooler hoses on the V8 R51 Pathfinder: http://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/parts-list/2008-nissan-pathfinder/radiator-...

Usually there are four different systems in regards to this. 1. The normal remote unlock via radio frequency. What happens when you press the button on the remote. works at a longer distance. 2. The inteli key which lets you unlock by pushing the button on the door. only works much closer to the car...

Re: Noise from speakers and waves in my display

So I used a LOC to keep my original radio for my 2012 Pathfinder. At first I was getting a buzzing noise that increased as i accelerated and decreased as decelerrated. I fixed that by ungrounding my LOC. Now I have a high pitched noise that rises regardless of whether Im accelerating or not. It goe...

Re: Bumping an old thread

I was recently told something similar by a mechanic. Along the lines of V8s don't have the internal radiator cooler, so don't have this problem. Can anyone confirm please? I am thinking the possibilities are: 1. Mechanic is wrong 2. My car already had the bypass done by a previous owner so the mecha...
