If you're going to drill into the truck, why not get a snorkel, then run the wiring down the back of the snorkel.

snorkel's look badass, and you get the induction noise, ok i just like snorkels

2.5TD Turbo swap

Hi everyone, has anyone on here ever swapped the turbo on a 2.5TD Pathy? Mine has the classic Police Siren sound, i've checked the pipework and all looks fine, it does it loudly when cold but also still does it when engine up to temp so I'm assuming its out of balance or bearings gone or something. ...

Ouch, thats like Range Rover MPG! However i guess fuel costs less in the US right? I mean diesel in the UK at the moment is £1.19 per litre. ($1.54) obviously costs more on the motorway services, can be upto £1.40. Must admit though I am quite happy with the fuel consumption of the pathfinder, I use...

Haha I just fitted some cross bars on the roof rails! I want to mount a light bar to them and also an awning when i can afford one, so i'll have to live with the mpg. accepted that you dont buy a truck like this for good mpg.

Glad this thread exists, just had a look at my gutters and they're rusty all the way down

Problem with being in the UK, where it rains constantly. as its on the roof i'll probably be taking the hammerite / rustoleum and paintbrush approach.

@fogman Thanks for the advice, just to let everyone know I got Nissan to come out and test the chassis on the truck. It passed the test without any problem. Previous owner has had the chassis and underneath fully undersealed and it seems to have kept corrosion at bay, i'll just need to make sure I k...

Thanks for the welcome. Manual vehicles are much more common in the UK, and personally i prefer them, i've nothing against automatics, and i've owned some in the past, but there is some kind of connection you have with a manual vehicle, like it needs you more or something like that haha. The turbo d...

i'm quite surprised it can hold up after years of use, its a neat product. my truck has a fair bit of chrome on it (mirrors, rear door handles, bull bar etc) but for the moment i'm not bothered by it, may change later on though!

Aftermarket Gauges

Hi folks,

does anyone run aftermarket gauges? thinking to put in oil pressure, maybe a water temp gauge not sure how reliable stock one is? or turbo boost, any tips?

Is oil pressure easy to fit on the 2.5dci?

Thanks!

another question i have is aftermarket gauges... i come from a mitsubishi world and a water temp gauge is pretty much essential to avoid a headgasket failure, do people fit aftermarket gauges to the pathfinders or are the stock gauges quite reliable?
