I have all the tools required but when the shaft is removed using the pry bar does that leave the snap ring loose inside? thanks

The boots are not split however they are OEM with 180 K miles and starting to whine when loaded up in a turn - only at highway speeds. Drivers side seal is leaking.
I am replacing both front drive shafts and seals on my 07. 180k miles and I replaced the wheel bearings, disks and pads. I have a couple of questions before staring out this weekend on the job 1. Once the LCR is out of the way can the drive shaft be removed by pulling or is there a C clip internal? ...
