Re: Main window switch repair...............

Well, today the window switch is back to working some of the time on Auto Up. Any advice, or is it time to order a new switch? How much is a new switch these days? I'd be tempted to try the repair again. No need to do all four, necessarily. Be sure you scrub those contact surfaces CLEAN! Somewhere ...

Re: 2005 Pathfinder VDC SLIP and stalling

Not for the ABS lights, that scanner is OBD for the engine only. However, you probably only need engine codes. There's probably a P0725 in the tranny too, for the same reason as the C1130, no RPM signal. They'll all clear by themselves when you solve the engine's issue. The most capable cheap scann...

Re: 2005 Pathfinder VDC SLIP and stalling

Many engine problems cause the ECM to stop transmitting engine speed on CAN, which causes the ABS to throw a C1130 and turn on the slip and ABS lamps. They'll go out once you fix the underlying engine issue. Should this tool be sufficient to check for codes on my 2005 R51 SE-OR 4WD? https://www.ama...

The left bank cam position sensor is Nissan P/N: 23731-AL61A The right bank cam position sensor is Nissan P/N: 23731-6J90B I would stick with the genuine Nissan part. While only one may be bad, I would replace both of them if it were mine. They are a bit of a pain to get to, however, as they are at...

$54 is about the lowest I've seen them go for. Most usually go through the passenger side wheel well to get to it. Looks like it's my turn to do this deed. The wheel well approach looks much more palatable than the face full of oil approach. Just pull the wheel & tupperware? How much oil loss i...

Re: 2005 R51 Pathfinder Splash Guard Installation Instructions.........

No install instructions needed. When you match up the guards to your fender well you will see exactly which (i believe it was only 3) screws need to be removed per spot then you simply screw them into the splash guards: 999J2-XR00003 Splash Guards, Front 999J2-XR00004 Splash Guards, Rear Thanks Bli...

2005 R51 Pathfinder Splash Guard Installation Instructions.........

I've lost track of the instruction sheet for the Nissan OEM accessory splashguards.
In particular, I need the list of parts with part numbers for their installation hardware, front & rear (especially the rear at this point).
A PDF of the instruction sheet would be helpful.
Thanks!

Main window switch repair...............

Here is an EXCELLENT repair tutorial on how to access & clean the main window switch contacts for the passenger and rear windows. Oddly there is no mention of the driver door window switch and repairing it, but it's a completely different switch from the other three, and I've never heard of the ...

Often when the ECM detects a problem that will cause it to set a trouble code, it will take a snapshot of some of the datastream info, i.e. coolant temp, engine RPM, calculated load %, O2 sensor readings, etc., which is called the "freeze frame" data. This can be useful to the technician ...
