'05 Whine during acceleration/before shift

I've searched and read for a few hours and I'm not sure I've found an answer. I have an '05 w/ new radiator and re-manufactured tranny. About 10k on the replacement tranny. 110,000 miles My SES light came on and the same day I started getting a higher pitched whine when I accelerate, usually at high...

I decided to hold off on the CAI, but I'm still probably going to put one in this summer. I've used the INJEN CAI's on 2 other cars, 2001 Prelude and a 2004 TSX and there was a noticeable improvement in throttle response and power. A slight gas mileage(1mpg hwy) increase on the Prelude but not sure ...

That's a nice hand-me-down. Did you Plastidip all the chrome or just the rear? I'm contemplating doing this but I've only made my mind up to do the stock wheels. You have a few options with the tranny cooler/rad issue. Trans Cooler Bypass (Free if you can turn a wrench) Bypass + Additional cooler (P...

so what you are saying is that there are vehicles that this definately wont happen to? that is like saying that the motor will last forever and that it is flawless... the problem is with the design. it is flawed. eventually it will happen... might be hundreds of thousands of miles, but will happen ...

Thank you for your advice, I really appreciate it. I just had a new Koyo Radiator installed and I should have it back in a few days. I think I may wait until the summer on the bypass. You should post the items you installed and let us know how they are working out so I can look into doing it when th...

NVSteve, your quotation didn't show up correctly, I was quoting unmeloy.
I definitely didn't say that.

Edit. Thanks for fixing.

I'm pretty sure the bypass isn't the "only" fix. you might want to read up and educate yourself on the matter... ALL PF are subject to coolant/tranny cross contamination... its not a matter of if, it is a matter of when. and yes, it really is the only fix. and by only fix i mean bypassing...

I replaced the tranny with a remanufactured one. The day before it failed I had a weird downshift while doing 55, it was a very hard shift that rattled the whole car. I made an appointment to drop it off the next day but on my way to work I got a weird shudder for about 2-3 seconds as if I was on a ...

2005 Pathfinder SE 4x4. Storm Grey Purchased at 97k miles. Transmission dead at 97.3k miles. As is no warranty. I relied on myself to detect any problems and took it in the shorts on this one. The Pathfinder replaces a 1998 Honda Prelude that was my baby for 10 years and ironically I decided to sell...
