Rear axle DIY?

My left axle boot busted and sprayed grease all over the inside of the wheel and wheel well.

Got a replacement from rockauto. It looks pretty straight forward, but just wondering if anyone has a write up on it, if not any tips or things I should watch for while doing this.

Thanks

Good write up.

Only question I have, I've been told if you're already high mileage and its never been done to leave it be. I'm at 130k and I doubt its been done (Got the car with 90k), no service records unfortunately.

Leave it as is or flush and fill?

Haven't seen a write up on here, if there is...by all means delete post. But this is really simple and a good detailed write up from clubfrontier.org

I'm at 130k and haven't had any issues yet (knock on wood). But I'm getting worried something will happen soon seeing as our R51 is our choice car for roadtrips since its more comfortable and better on gas then my old Bimmer. How do you do this bypass? I've read its safe, esp in warmer areas. But I'...

I'm up in Sanford.

06 R51, Green Blue Pearl with black wheels and mild lift.

There is another guy in the same area as me that made an intro post not too long ago.

I always see a black R51 4x4 with a pretty nice lift and larger wheel/tire combo. Looks badass

I live in Sanford as well. Might see mine around, blue with black wheels and a mild lift. The wife drives it as well if you see a redhead driving it. Might have to join you once I get back on two wheels. I sold my last bike before I moved out here. Dying to get back on one. Almost 10 years of having...

I remember back when I had my Sentra Spec V, there was a mod for this that required just a piece of wire to jump two relays under the hood. That allowed you to turn the fogs on independantly and still being able to use the stock switch.

I gotta find that thread, maybe there's a similar way.

Semi new guy from Orlando, FL

I say semi new because I've been a forum member for a bit. Had a 93 WD21 Pathfinder, 2WD 5spd XE. Miss it, but it was unfortunately totaled. Currently have a 2006 Pathfinder SE 2WD. Not too much done to it but that's changing slowly. Currently have 3in lift rear and 1.75 front, sitting on stock 16s ...

WTB, interior pieces

I've got a 93 4dr. I'm missing a couple of small pieces and can't seem to find them at any local junk yards. I have the red interior, so matching would be preferable...but depending on the part, I could just paint it. I need: - Center armrest/console, just the upper part with the lid. - Red or black...

New guy from TX

Hows it going everyone? I'm Ryan...currently living in College Station, TX. Just purchased my 1st Pathfinder last Thursday and so far...I love it. Its a 1993, XE-V6, 2WD, 5Spd. It currently has 185k on it and its running strong. The previous owner kept very good care of it. He just overhauled then e...
