not sure how the fluid can be "clear white"

did they change it our you? should have a reddish or pinkish color.

2006 Pathfinder..changed first at 75k miles and second one and tensioner at 145k...no sqeals or chirps ever out of them.

2008 Frontier..changed at 60k

I buy them off of Ebay in a bag of 20 for like $8 shipped to my house.

The fluid can be hard to read on the stick.

I changed mine at 75k and again at 130k. At nearly 150k now, the fluid is light to medium pink when on a white paper towel.

I use Valvoline Max Life ATF.

I replaced my serpentine belt tensioner and idler pulley a few weeks back. When I backed the bolt out with a ratcheting wrench, it went into the fan and I couldnt reverse it so I had to take the fan off. Long story short, I had to remove that bracket ( 4 bolts ) and put my serpentine belt tensioner ...

just an update for me...

2006 PF now has 143k miles on it...still going good...just a few minor things so far such as the oil cooler ring...i did replace u joints

starting to hear the timing chain whine and not sure if thats a job I want to tackle or not.

Has anyone replaced their carpet in their PF? Mine is beyond cleaning after 9 years of kids, dogs, etc.

Do they sell a carpet kit that comes precut?
