Update

Drove it in rain today with a good bit of ponding on the roads. VERY sure footed. I was hoping my first impression during the test drive was correct and it was. My old pathy was horrible till I got the crappy OEM tires off of it. Once I put Cooper Discoverers on her, she would run through anything. ...

2013 replaced my 2010

Well, I came on here a year ago distraught over my wrecked "Maybelle". I loved it so, even after it was fixed, I ignored obvious problems. The most glaring is that it would not hold an alignment (it would align, but it wouldn't stay that way). After some research pointing to frame damage (...

Disallow, I have Cooper discoverers h/t. They're really versatile for a highway tire. They are rated for high load and pressures or can be run at the standard 35 lbs so they would have probably been fine but it made it less responsive and it even made the steering feel stiff. Also, I live in the sou...

Maybelle Rides Again!!

A month and a day after getting waylaid by an uninsured motorist, my pathy is finally fixed!! Body work looks great! I noticed driving her home, it felt a little stiff, so checked tire pressures. The body shop sent my car to the place I bought the tires at to replace the two ruined in the accident. ...

Well, I drove for the first time today since my surgery. It felt nice to be back behind the wheel, but it was in my mom in law's beige Camry. Is the universe trying to punish me? Oh well, I at least have bonded with the mom in law's car. It may be beige, but I had fun nailing curves (Of course, the ...

Pathy still down!

I posted a couple of weeks ago about my poor Maybelle getting crunched by an uninsured motorist. I have since had surgery unrelated to my crash, so I was out of pocket. Well, she is still in the shop.. so far we are at $7100 in damages. Dude trashed my suspension. The suspension cross arm in ...

Thank you!

Thank you everyone! I talked to the body shop and she won't be ready till the Friday 2 days after my surgery which means it will be 2 weeks after that till I can drive her  .. Oh well, don't want to rush him. I'll try to put up some pics when I get her back.

Yeah, I was transported by ambulance. (I couldn't move without excruciating pain. Apparently having your head turned when you get hit and spin around does bad things to you!) They took about a dozen x rays. I have since been to my chiropractor who is actually in another town (he's that good) and he ...

Maybelle is fixable!

Heard from insurance today.. $6,100 in damages. Estimate of repairs is three pages long! They've already started working on her and I'm chomping at the bit to get her back!! Glad I had insurance to cover this, but it's so not fair my insurance has to pay for this. Got the police report too and it sh...

Thanks! I knew fellow Pathfinder lovers would understand!

Yeah, more than anything at the scene and at the hospital later, I was mad that my insurance has to pay for this idiot. Everytime I looked at the Pathy at the scene, I just felt sick. I had just detailed it two days before. Put new tires on last month (cooper discoverer h/t which I highly recommend)...

Pathy in the body shop!

So, some idiot decides to pass 3 cars in the rain the other night. I go to the shoulder to avoid a collision, but then he follows me to the shoulder. I drive my Pathy into the ditch but was unable to keep him from hitting me. He connected with my back quarter panel and spun me 90 degrees in the ditc...
