:D just found a post on you tube theres a hole below the steering coloum push a round bar into the hole and it pushes on a spring that releases the air bag make sure you disconnect the battery first then its an easy strip down from there just a few torx screws 8)

steering wheel removal

hi folks can someone tell me how to remove the steering wheel as i want to carbon wrap the controls on it as there all scuffed or can these controls be removed without having to take of the steering wheel ????

:) thanks dan that sounds like the problem as it only does it now and again pity its always in the middle of the night :roll: sounds like this could be an expensive problem thanks to everyone for all the help much appreciated

both keyfobs working fine mate new batteries i turned of the interior proximity sensor for the alarm last night and had no problem just wondering if it stays off or does it rearm when you open an lock the car again so will i have to disarm it everytime i lock the car :?:

alarm problem

:( please somebody help before i take a hammer to this truck its a 2008 2.5 diesel pathy the problem is the alarm keeps going off in the middle of the night is this a common fault and is there a fix for it :roll: :?:

no mate its the side steps that run along the bottom of the door that you would step on to help you get into the pathy mine is tubular steel an they have domed end caps think the end caps are made of plastic :roll:

good thought!
if not that, more likely a connection or fuse
i've never heard of any dash bulb failures (yet)
( i probably shouldn't have said that ) :lol:as i said bulbs are nt faulty im changing the colour to blue bulbs thats why i want the clocks out :wink:

vovite bulbs are fine im changin all interior bulbs to blue have done the roof lights an the footwell ones just need to do the clocks now but dont want to start breaking the dash was hoping someone else might have taken it apart :)
