Head Unit Install - Illumination Wire

I am installing a single DIN head unit in my Pathfinder, but I do not know where to connect the Orange Illumination (Dimmer) wire from the factory harness. There is not a connection that matches on the head unit harness. Also, there is a chassis ground wire on the head unit harness, where is the bes...

That's really funny! I figure if I can save $50, it's more than none, but that's not a bad price.

Roof Rack Stanchion Bolt Type and Size

I am planning on putting an add on Craigslist asking to purchase the crossbars and stanchions from another Pathfinder owner who does not use them. I see a TON of Pathy's out there and I guarantee 90% of them have no use for their crossbars (or even know they exist). I am planning on putting up an ad...

So I did it, and had a big mess. Lol. But then I cut the top off a bottle of water and did it again and it surged up about 4" and then just bubbled.

Hey thanks for all the information! I bought some Prestone concentrated mix and mixed it at 50% dilution. Similiar to the other posts on here, I filled the radiatior, cut the top off a water bottle, and filled that wil coolant. I also filled the overflow to halfway. I put the cap on the overflow and...

2008 Pathfinder Coolant Vent Location

Hello all! While working on the Pathy this summer, I accidentally pulled the coolant line out of the throttle body and leaked coolant everywhere. I just cleaned everythign out and re-installed it and thought nothing of it. I recently turned on the heat and noticed that the heat blows cold at idle. A...

@Craig1555 Yes, it theory you can do that, however, you then have multiple barbs from your auxillary cooler to your transmission, meaning more of a chance for a leak. Not to mention, my lines were not long enough to do the bypass and be comfortable with it not leaking. Waht I did is below, cost me l...

Duh. How could I have missed that. Set the pressures as listed. Tapped it 6 times to go into learning mode. Light went off after about 15 min then came right back on. Filled tires back to 35 psi and light went off after like 3 minutes. AWESOME!!!!!! Thanks for the information and help. Hopefully it ...

Tried this yesterday with the paper clip. Did not have a pressure gauge so I just deflated the tires until I thought they were a little low. The light started blinking, drove for about 20 minutes on the way home from work in stop and go metro traffic, and then a long beeping noise and the light went...

Replaced mine last night. Disconnected the intake plenum but did not re-locate. Was able to move it enough to get it out of my way while working on the plugs. I did, however, stupidly remove the coolant line to the throttle body on accident. Sprayed a little coolant into it, howver, was able to quic...

Just ordered Akebonos. No issues with the rotors so I figure I'll save myself $200. Planning in scuffing with sandpaper. Guess we'll see how it works out!
Thanks for the help!

Great, thank you both for the help. I'll look into the Akebono pads. And I'll take the rotors up to the local machinist and see if they can be resurfaced. I'd hate for the new pads to be a different size and get all messed up from the dirty spots on the rotor.
Thanks again!

2008 pathfinder S, Brake/Rotor Replacement - Raybestos?

Just bought my 2008 Pathfinder, S with 95,000 miles. Just finished the bypass (Pics and write up if I can find the time, took them.. lol), front and rear diff fluid replacement, engine and cabin air filters, and bought spark plugs (A little harder than I tought they would be). Looking to replace my ...

Did the bypass Sunday, along with front and read diff fluid drain and fill, cabin air filter, engine air filter, Bought spark plugs too, but didn't realize it was such a job. Getting into that, brake check, and transmission flush and fill (Dealership) soon. I've heard you shouldn't flush and fill at...

Excellent, thanks for the information. I drew a picture from what I have read, and will upload it. I am assumig I will have to put it on Photobucket or something first, I can't just insert it. I am going to take the shield off tonight and confirm the routing tonight after softball to confirm the dia...
