I would vote too much oil. The compressor will have some oil in it if it is a reman.

I would suggest getting the NTK ones from Rockauto.

They are the same as the OEM, will fit 100% correctly, and read everything properly. $116 each on Rockauto.

Sorry to hear this happened to you.

Unfortunately once there is water in there, experience with the cases we have seen on the forums says its a matter of time before you have a transmission failure ...
