Having two cats makes the car ideal for a custom dual exhaust setup. Flowmaster, Borla and, several others make high flow stainless two in two out mufflers. I did my 98's exhaust all stainless a few weeks ago. I'll post some pictures if I can figure out how.

I rebuilt a 98 a couple years ago. Had no problem with any of the bolts. I agree with changing all the coolant hoses, they're hard to get at and you might not see them again until you're on the side of the road somewhere.

A rebuilt unit can be had for about 200. or slightly more. The bushings are available in polyeurthane. It's not that big a deal to change yourself if you follow up with an alignment.

Did you check to see if the rack assembly is moving when you turn the wheel? If it is then it might explain some of your symptoms.

You didn't mention what year pathfinder you have. On my 98 the gas gage and temperature gage share a common ground. Does the temp gage go dead also?

If you have been referencing a tech manual there would be a caution note about first removing a flywheel position sensor at the top of the bellhousing.

Good luck with that. Flushing out what you don't replace is imperative. If you're balancing a job and school with this repair then I assume that money is tight. I turn all my AC work over to a trusted shop even though I have the gages and a vacuum pump, as well as the EPA vapor recovery certificate....

The compressor is the big ticket item in the system. Changing the dryer is a must. After that, it's a good idea to also change the condenser since they're of such cheap construction and usually subject to extreme temperatures and pressures. Many good "kits" will also include the tubing sin...

I think there's a dimmer rheostat for the instrument lights. Make sure it's not turned all the way down.

I had 31s before the lift. There were no clearance issues with the struts but there was rubbing behind the wheel on a tight turn. 1" wheel spacers took care of that.
