I doubt that it's the water pump. If it was, it would overheat. Also, the VQ water pumps seldom fail and impeller fan corrosion is almost non-existent these days of long-life coolants (assuming somebody doesn't drain the coolant and re-fill with straight water! You said you burped the coolant, but ...

I burped the system. A few air bubbles were evident but I've seen worse. Coolant level appears full. Still running into the no/low heat at idle problem. Fair to say it's a water pump problem at this point? Any other symptoms that would point to this being an issue? The engine does not run hotter tha...

forgottenzone, specifically which Volant CAI did you put on your rig? The one for the Titan or Armada? They don't show one that fits the Path on Summit's website.

2011 V8. Same issue. No heat coming from the vents when at idle. Depress the accelerator and heat comes back. Air is blowing through the vents the entire time, it just goes from cold to hot depending on idle RPM vs above idle RPM. Curious if the OP ever solved the problem. Coolant flushed at the sho...

You're right, SMJ - Member Forgottenzone used the JBA headers as described in the thread below. The way I see it there's bound to be custom fabrication in any application on such a rare bird as the V8 Pathy. My plan is to have a custom exhaust installed the same time I put on the headers. If I can g...

JBA or Doug Throley LT headers - where to buy?

Looking to pull the trigger on long throw headers for a 2011 V8 R51. Curious if anyone can suggest whether to go with JBA or Doug Thorley and where to purchase. Thanks

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but just to confirm, JBA LT headers will fit a Pathfinder V8, with no modifications to the vehicle or headers needed (aside from spinning the B pipe flange)? Mine is supposedly cracked and needs to pass the out of province inspection :( Did you move forward w...

The lift gate struts require replacement on my 2011. Last replaced them in 2013. Based on the length of this thread OEM parts leave much to be desired. This thread is full of folks switching to McMaster 200# and 225#. Any reports on longevity?

Checked all the fuses with anything marked "trailer." Most say it's rare for a relay to go bad. Sounds like a trip to the stealership is in order. Silver lining is it is winter and because I'm not hauling the boat at all these days I'm in no hurry to deal with their BS.

Had mine replaced today. OEM installed 9/2014 so didn't quite make it 3 years. Had an 84 month limited warranty. Was given a prorated warranty replacement which reset the 84 month clock. My dad swears by Costco. Apparently they have Interstate batteries with a non-questions-asked replacement guarant...

Spoke with a few folks in the automotive industry and was told it is quite rare for a relay to go bad. Recommended swapping out suspect problem relay with the horn relay to check if the relay is bad. Low and behold the Pathfinder uses a different relay for the horn and Tow Relay 1. I've checked the ...

Had been waiting for my extended warranty to expire before making significant modifications that would risk voiding the warranty. On the radar are the following: -Doug Thorley long-throw headers -UpRev tuner -exhaust cut out (still want factory quiet at times) -Supercharger The first two are no-brai...
