Finished project: Lights re-wired with a Blue Sea Fuse Block

I was having some issues with my roof top lighting and because of my unorganized wiring I had a hard time troubleshooting them. So I decided to start from scratch and re-wire everything. This isn't much of a write up/tutorial I just figured I would share this for some inspiration for those thinking ...

Its the Highland U-Venture.

It measures about 35" wide so it fits perfectly between the stock rack bars.

I wish I had a better picture. I drilled through the top portion of the steel frame and bolted it on the underside where the red box is. I just dont have a picture of the angle showing the nut.

I drilled through the bumper and used a 3 or 4 inch bolt. The steel is difficult to get through.

Nice pictures, Touchdown. They inspired me to post my roof rack with rear lights.

I used some "L" shaped brackets and mounted straight to the steel bumper. You will need to trip plastic where needed. This picture was taken when I was changing the front struts so obviously you wont need to remove your tires. :D http://i.imgur.com/QC4eQUy.jpg http://i.imgur.com/1PteEvw.jp...

I've done this before and had no problems other than that my u joints went bad about 6 months later. Im at 150,000 miles so the u joints could have been bad from unrelated reasons. I'd say you are probably okay.

Strut lift or coil spring lift

I have an Air Lift 1000 in the rear which is great but it causes a forward rake. I want to replace the front coil spring and strut. What would you suggest? Bilstein 5100 Ride Height Adjustable struts (0"-2") and Moog OEM replacement coil springs or Bilstein 4600 struts (0" lift) with ...

Yup, I wasn't worried about my tires, only worried about the drive line windup that could occur. I brought my car to my mechanic the next day and he said everything looks fine. I did have to replace a u-joint about 2 months later though.

I'm embarrassed to say but I drove in 4hi for about 200 miles on dry pavement at highway speeds 60-90 mph. I was coming home from a ski trip with snow covered roads for the first 10 miles then once I was off the mountain I forgot to switch back to 2wd. I guess all the booze and skiing got to my head...
