Thanks, I did the factory service manual adjust procedure today with the meter and it did not help any, the strange part is it did not do it until I changed the tps ! I will have to get deeper into it , it solved the initial problem of the dead spot so I guess it has not been a total loss =/

Throttle position sensor

I had a TPS that would go dead in certain throttle positions like at the sweet spot at 55-60 mph or at times when you changed gears and got back on the throttle ! So I ordered a factory Nissan TPS and installed it in same position as the old one... OK dead spot fixed runs great on the road now, but ...

Gremlins Resolved

1992 SE 5 spd I decided to replace the blower resistor because it would work on low only... So while I was in there I removed the oak tree ! It actually blows cold air now =) Also I had the start gremlin which went from sometimes it would not start to, it would not start at all unless you hit the in...

Thanks, It belonged to an old friend for years and was not beat, like most old WD21 it has had a few gremlins but nothing serious and still runs strong with 181,000 miles.

That was one of the first things I checked and it was all the way up, but I do have a question for you.. Is that dimmer prone to problems or have you known of them going bad and causing lights to go out ?

Thanks, but no... the dash lights went out and I checked fuses and they were good, so since I know the headlight multi switch can be a problem and it was so old I replaced it hoping the problem would be there. So I guess the next move will be to remove cluster and check things there. Thanks for your...

Factory Rep

Never settle for a canned answer from a service dept ! Ask for a meeting with a factory rep. I don't know about Nissan but I settled a dispute with GMC trucks that way, and got my problem solved after playing ring around the rosie with a service dept that kept giving me BS answers. Don't ask for it ...

Dash lights ?

All dash lights took a dive at one time, no fuses blown.. Has anyone else experienced this maybe that could point me in the right direction ?
I put a new headlight multi switch in because I know they can cause gremlins to happen, but it made no change or difference.

Fuel pressure, you would need a fuel pressure tester and connect in line between fuel filter and fuel rail. Start engine , Pressure should read 34 psi with fuel pressure regulator vaccum hose connected... and then disconnect pressure regulator hose from intake and cap vaccum port at intake and start...

I would check the connections at the tank for corrosion and check with meter or light for power...
Did you check the fuel filter to see if it was plugged up ? If you have power and pump running, I would check filter and fuel PSI next, pump could run and still not have good or enough pressure .
