Re: I got the Itch (where should i scratch)

Hi All, So I decided to take care of the hoses and coolant system (I have at least one coolant hose with a rather concerning crack. So I ordered the master hose kit. Given the price of OEM hoses I figured this was either cheaper or at least easier to do than try to piecemeal things. I ordered black ...

Re: I got the Itch (where should i scratch)

Replying to my own thread, but i found this. Its for dual air... I assume that means separate rear AC control but i would have to look. i have a 2007 S 4wd so not sure this would work with mine. https://www.wholesalepartsexpress.com/product/92408-zl90b-upgrade-nissan-hose-assembly-heater-05-12-pathf...

Re: I got the Itch (where should i scratch)

Seems like a good time to consider the hoses and any other plastic coolant system parts. Isn't the thermostat housing normally plastic? so maybe replacing that would be a good idea (I may be wrong on this). something like this... note this raises the question, should we use a stock temperature range...

Re: I got the Itch (where should i scratch)

Definitely go with the coolant lines at the firewall. Valve cover gaskets and coil packs if you haven't done them. I had one of the coils fail already. I replaced it with an OEM one. Do the coils tend to expire at the same time? It does run a little rough at idle (slight shaking of the vehicle). Wo...

I got the Itch (where should i scratch)

Hi All, I got the itch to fix something on the pathy (and hopefully avoid a future breakdown), the wife is currently on maternity leave so we can get by with one car so now is probably a good time to make some mistakes. Here are the ideas I have... Coolant system: - hoses are probably fine. But I su...

Re: Engine smokes when going up hill

I would bet that it is your valve cover gasket(s). Let me tell you a story about why this must be so. I took my 2007 v6 pathy to the dealership for something (forgot what). They told me my valve cover gaskets where leaking. So I ordered replacements and put them in. All seemed well. Later, I took my...

Re: Best rear lift spring 2023

3-inches in the rear is substantial. I suspect your gonna have some trouble getting the alignment right on that. Let us know how you fare.

Re: Serpentine belt confusion YD25DDTi

For $7 one of these will serve you much better than a piece of hose, and it has a foot-long snout for sticking into places your ears and nose shouldn't go. I personally wouldn't be without one: https://www.harborfreight.com/mechanics-stethoscope-63691.html lol - you don't like the hose method. The ...

Re: Serpentine belt confusion YD25DDTi

i would suggest trying to pinpoint the noise. you may have something worn out like a tensioner bearing. you can use a length of hose as a redneck stethoscope. one end to you ear, the other you point at all the parts on the belt path. listen to pinpoint the squeal. please be aware that messing around...

I am talking pics of the car in the snow :P
But nice kids!
Would have liked some of those as well. Unfortunately, there was no way the pregnant wife was going to get out of the car and film me driving anywhere.

I would say if you looking to keep stockish ride height almost anything should be better then Nissan OEM springs. For a lift it may be region specific.

Re: Spring HELP!

I had the same issue when i put lift kit springs in. I just aligned each side similarly. Additionally, I tried to have the most robust looking portion of the strings to the outside of the vehicle because they see the most travel. This could be wrong but seems to have worked fine on my vehicle.
