This is not necessary. Its very unlikely that it will over heat or lose oil pressure if you check your fluid levels every time you put gas in it. Its VERY unlikely that the OEM gauges/lights will fail at the exact same time that you develop a huge leak. Aftermarket gauges are less reliable, and are ...

2" lift pucks all around. New rear springs, new rear shocks. Did not replace anything in the front. It was a lot of labor installing the front lift, and in retrospect I would have replaced everything on the front just to be sure I would never have to take it apart again. Too much labor involved.

Mileage doesn't have anything to do with the condition of an engine. You can destroy a brand new motor in 10 miles, and you can have a good running motor at 250,000 miles. It all depends on the conditions. Did the oil get changed regularly? Ever ran low on oil? Correct oil type? Red line all the tim...

Either a belt issue, or your alternator spun a bearing.

eBay is the place to get pretty much anything at rock bottom prices. I would replace all 4 at the same time. Replacing the bushings alone wont save much money at all, and you would need a press. Removing the links is VERY difficult if the bolts are seized in there (which some will be). You need a Sa...

Rim options ... Wheel spacers?

I want to push my tires out past the fenders. Wheel spacers are an option, but I would need longer studs to make any rear difference, which Im not in favor of. So maybe I need some wheels that have a different offset? What do I need to do to push the tire out?

Vibration / Rumble issue.

SO! My pathfinder is an 01 SE with a 5 speed. It has a rumble/vibrations that is noticeable between 20 and 50 is mph. Especially noticeable on deceleration in the 2k-3k rpm range. I checked the rear links. I checked the motor mounts. I checked the cross member mounts. I checked the drive line U-join...

Replace the struts?

My rear springs are sagging. Rear end hits the bump stops when hitting large bumps, and is pretty much bottomed out when fully loaded. Im replacing the rear springs, rear shocks, and installing a front/rear 2" spacer lift kit. I'm into it about $280 so far. Any thoughts on replacing the struts ...

LIFT KIT PARTS WANTED

Anyone out there got some lift kit stuff for sale? I have a 2000 and a 2001. I'm assuming the suspension parts will be interchangeable between 1996-2004. What do you have, and how much. I'm looking for a better price than I can find on eBay.

When rocking the vehicle back and fourth in gear, the uppers had lots of bushing play, lowers had none. Is there another way to test the lowers? Can you post the link to the other similar topic you mentioned? Thanks for the reply.

Rumble/vibration on deceleration

2001 Pathfinder SE 4x4 5 speed Upon deceleration, there is a rumble/vibration. Happens even if the transfer case is in neutral. Noticeable at speeds in excess of about 20mph. Seems to go away on acceleration. Sometimes its there more than others times. Can be felt in stick shift. Sounds similar to r...

Not sure on what you would check on the vacuum lines. Check your service manual to see if there is a vacuum line to the trans, and trace it maybe. Have you tried resetting the computer by disconnecting the negative battery cable overnight?
