Kevster-

Thanks for the answer (seriously) I just need to know how to do it and I'll dust off the manual.

jacking a pathfinder

I just picked up my first trolley lift and a pair of jack stands.

Question: where do I put the lift/jack to raise the Pathfinder and once up, where do I put the stands? I need to know for both the front and rear.

Thanks in advance.

Typically tuners are limited to one VIN. There are some functions you can perform with them on any vehicle (such as the 2 degree timing advance) but a full performance tune or removing the wide open throttle restriction would normally be limited to one vehicle.

One of the great benefits of synthetic oil is in cold weather starts.

"28790-EA000 was $5.85!"

I just called a local dealer, who happens to have four in stock, and he quoted me $14.99. p/n 28790-EA000

Really not bad considering the life I got out of it but nowhere close to $5.85.

"How did you go about doing that?" It turned out to be pretty straight forward. I got a can of spray Krylon Fusion for plastic at the local hardware store. They said it required no prep for a "superbond" to plastic. I was a little nervous about this but after almost three years i...

Am I the only guy who gets a hand wash of hot oil everytime the plug is unscrewed? Would this valve reduce that possibility by directing the flow in a direction other than my hand on the handle?

I painted that area silver shortly after getting my Pathfinder. I like the look and could post a picture if I had a clue as to how to do this. I could also email anyone a pic, if interested.

"For those who this, if the nuvi bracket is removed, is there enough space to make the housing another cubby for putting junk in?"

yes, about 1/6 a cubic foot.

I can't believe they would quit including this cool little accessory but I did have a look at my window (Mulroney?) sticker and it does list "Cargo Net & First Aid Kit" under the "COMFORT & CONVENIENCE" section.

I'm also interested in knowing what all was involved with the required additional wiring to get the real time traffic updates. I got a 755T from Costco for Christmas and it looks like the real time update feature is linked to the cigarette lighter (accessory) power cord. I checked on Ebay and these ...

Nice rack!

I would like to do something similar but just with two Yakima size crossbars embedded in the existing Pathfinder rails. By using round crossbars I can then fold back the snowboard racks when not in use. Any details as to how you made this would be helpful and appreciated.

Thanks

I just went out and looked. The airplane wing analogy is correct. The crossbar is tapered to a point in the back.
