Awesome, thanks all!! I don't want it too chunky, so I'll look at the cans. I'll post pics when done.

Thanks Npath. Makes sense as to why it would be so common. Many adhesives/sealers are not friendly with paint, especially if they leech chemicals out. I'll attempt one more time at getting it taken care of by the dealer since there's a little rust now, and it was this way when I bought it less than ...

Luckily the bumper came primered and "ready to paint". You can see the difference from the outside and inside.

Are the cans available at auto stores too? Or where?

That really sucks. What has everyone done to repair it? Just prime/paint yourselves? Paint shop?

Roof drain channel paint issue - and rust

On my "new to me" '05 PF I noticed the channels for water drainage on both sides of the vehicle have paint flaked away. It's not on the bottom of the channels, but on the 2mm vertical edges. It looks like there's still primer, but now that I live in the rainy PNW, I'm seeing rust spots. I ...

I finally got my replacement bumper and am ready to "bedliner" it. I've seen some that say spray the liner (from cans), others that have rolled, and some that went to commercial shops (Rhino, Line-X, etc.). For those that have done it, or in the know, what is your suggested method? I was j...

Good thought pawjr74. Called an no joy. Guess I'm gonna try the one from PartsGeek.

[EDIT] - Forget that, PartsGeek wants $120 just for shipping. That would be a total over $300. Found one on eBay for $246 total.

Well, Felton's didn't have any bumper covers. So I'm now searching for which to get. I did find a decent priced ($178) and sounding one made by Action Crash at PartsGeekcom: it's CAPA Certified (that's good) and Platinum Plus quality (whatever that means). http://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/AC/1839...

Is the allignment a issue for all lifts or this one only?? I'm thinking you mean suspension type lift versus body lift? I'd like to know that too. I'd like to do a 2 or 3" lift. Seems like a suspension lift is easier to complete, but there are alignment or other issues. Whereas a body lift is ...

Cool, will look for that Duplicolor spray on. I was thinking of attempting to repair it, but I think the cracks or whatnot are too extensive. I could be wrong though. Maybe with some bolted or riveted on metal plates backing behind? Here's the pics: The right side. Possibly patchable with a backing ...

Yea, I gotta go the bedliner route. Love the look, and with my dark gray (storm gray) color, I bet it'll look good. At least IMHO. What bedliner did you use? And any suggestions on what new bumper cover to get or avoid? I see some bad reviews on some from China (surprise, surprise). So I'll avoid th...

Upon reading what you're describing I would blame the "auto" temp sensor - it's behind the 1.5-2" circular "vent-like" hole in the area below the ignition and the hazard light button and passenger airbag indicator light. You state you're not using the ac/heat in "auto&q...
