Here is the template I used to modify the Simpson Strong Tie A33 carpentry bracket. I printed them out, taped them on, then got a marker pen and traced the template onto the bracket. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6171/6197375985_3e4265a4ff.jpg Mounting Bracket Template by Gregg.F , on Flickr There ...

The brackets are made from Simpson A33 Strong Tie stainless steel carpentry brackets. They are already bent. Here is what I did to complete the brackets: 1. Cut down one leg of the bracket. 2. Add 1/2" dia hole for PIAA light 3. 5/8" dia slot for the mounting bolt to the existing bumper br...

I was looking for a switched source to control the relay. The constant power is provided by the battery hookup. I ended up tapping into the parking light wire. This way I know that if the parking lights are off the fog lights will not inadvertently get turned on. Once the parking lights are turned o...

I had the same block this morning. I had to go out and check. The blinkers are separate from the parking lights.

Thanks for your comments.

The set came with the harness and associated relays. I have all that installed and connected. The last is a 12V switched power to control the relays. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6063/6124307993_e1eeb34409.jpg 510 Wiring Diagram by Gregg.F , on Flickr The wire was long enough to route to the front...

PIAA 510 ATP Light Install

I purchased pair of PIAA 510 ATPs for my 2008 Pathfinder and I am just about done planning out where and how to do the install. I used some stainless steel carpentry brackets which I cut down and slotted for attaching to the bumper. I have the harness layout routing figured out but here is the quest...

I have about 10 months of driving on mine and they are wearing nicely. The tire so far is a nice all-around performer. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6181/6107035962_5b4d01ed01.jpg New Hankooks 1 by Gregg.F , on Flickr http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6187/6106488879_72d4c57c75.jpg New Hankooks 2 by G...

Glad to hear everybody was OK. I had a similar experience with my 2005 Pathfinder only in that it was totaled. Although I have a 2008 in some weird way I miss the 2005. I was rear ended by a Chevy Avalanche. The Path still drove OK but the frame was bent. Pushed the trailer hitch all the way into th...

As for mileage, I was averaging around 14.2 MPG with normal driving. Normal drive for me is about 20 miles one way to work on roads that range in speed from 30 up to 50. The trip usually averages out to 40 MPH. I had been tracking mileage for about a year prior to installing the Airaid. Mileage in t...

I finally got the pictures of the Airaid Quickfit. I did have to cut about an inch off of the top of the heat shield so I could close the hood. After seeing the pictures of the Volant I'm a little jealous. I had contacted Volant initially and they said they did not have a solution for the V8 Pathfin...
