The last year for a timing belt in the R50 Pathfinder was 2000, which had the VG33E engine. In 2001, they switched to the VQ35DE, which has three timing chains. I have a 2003 V6 with 144K miles. No idea if the timing belt has ever been changed. Anyone changed their own timing belt? Any pointers?

Ouch. When you get it fixed, let us know how much it cost. :shock: My shop replaced the fuel pump, they said the other components were fine, for around $500; I also had them test the MAF sensor and check for intake leaks. And I'm looking forward to learning about it in here! It seems to be in pretty decent shape. It has 144K miles.
