Welcome and congrats on the new ride. I like the red. You don't see too many in that color. Not to alarm you but take a look at the transmission cooler failure sub-forum if you haven't already and read up on the different ways to prevent the transmission cooler failure. Nissan did extend the warrant...

Thanks for the observation. That was my suspicion. I'm not sure I did much good by just replacing the boot but at least I was able to inspect the steering rack.

I'm a bit of a procrastinator so after a year I finally replaced the steering boot on my Pathy. The install was simple other than having to get the toe-in checked after removing the tie rod end to replace the boot. The factory service manual did not have specific instructions for this task so I have...

Are you referring to a part on the roof rack? Probably a dealer only item.

Welcome to the forum. Nice troubleshooting. Since you are still having problems that leads me to believe the IPDM is bad. But first I would try replacing the ecm relay with a new one from the dealer. It is now available as a separate part. To answer your question, The IPDM is a direct replacement pa...

Probably just need some new spark plugs. :D All joking aside, a low fuel pressure code would lead me to check the following: faulty fuel pressure sensor (not likely the issue since you have idling issues and not just a check engine code) fuel filter damaged or clogged (you've already eliminated this...

I would have suggested to check the radiator fan to see if it was running but you have already checked that.

Can't see the pics at work but it sounds like you got a great deal! I also have a Wrangler, 92 model with the 4.0. It's my offroad toy and nice weather vehicle. Super asy to work on. Check out Jeepforum if you haven't already. It's is a great place for technical advice and how-to's.

For whatever reason your engine coolant system is overheating and it appears the ECU is trying to correct the problem by shutting off the AC compressor or using the heater core as a radiator to cool the engine. Of course this is purely my speculation.

So this problem only happens at idle?

I have about 60k miles on my replacement fuel level sensor and no issues whatsoever. When I compared the original sensor to the replacement one, the replacement sensor appeared to be a better and more robust design. Specifically the metal contacts were thicker. These contacts had become worn and had...

Looks pretty good to me. Perhaps see if they'll throw in a tire rotation? I use Mobil 1 synthetic in mine and go 5-6000 miles between oil changes (mostly highway driving).

That sucks that you're not too far outside of the extended warranty period. The fuel level sensor is available from Nissan as a separate part, so you don't have to purchase the entire fuel pump unit. If you decide to tackle the repair yourself, it's an easy job and great way to learn. I just followe...
