hmmm, if Bosch is the OEM for Pathfinder, then perhaps that is not the best way to go since the original crapped out on me shortly after 150K miles. or is that normal? if not, what other fuel pump manufacturers would you suggest? thanks!

need opinion on new fuel pump

2005 SE 4x4 i am a test away from determining whether i would need a new fuel pump. as of right now, i would say its a 70% certainty. my mechanic who will be preforming the replacement suggested to stay away from brands line Spectra while confirming that one cannot go wrong with Bosch. so at this po...

need to identify detached part

2005 SE 4x4 was hoping to play a game called "Name That Part!" =) found some part on my driveway that apparently dislodged from my pathy. here is the url to a couple of images: https://photos.app.goo.gl/gau6GANoFR2d1H1S7 . hope someone can tell me what it is. i am obviously concerned if th...

well, it turned out that relays were not behind this calamity. the cause was a faulty headlight bulb connector. nevertheless, i would still like to know where the headlight relay is, but i will leave it for another thread.

didnt get a chance to run the idpm diagnostic today, but hope to do so in the next day or two. despite the age of the car, the idpm panel is only two years old. i upgraded from the original ver A to the brand new latest ver C that was available back in the late 2016. all i had time for today was che...

lost power to both headlights

2005 SE 4x4 v6 so earlier tonight both of my headlights went out, both low and high beams. they briefly came back on for a few mins only to go out again. all other lights are working just fine: both of the small front lights, front turning lights, and all rear lights. due to the holiday weekend i wo...

so it looks like removing the part attached to the glass is quite easy, as its held by a single torx bolt. does anyone happen to know what size it is?

busted hinge on the rear glass gate

2005 SE 4x4 so this morning the rear glass gate clocked me on the head as i went to open it. turns out that its right hinge is busted. the (upper) part attached to the main body seems to be fine, but the (lower) one attached to the glass gate is broken. https://photos.app.goo.gl/UnYH82zisbIx3A7u2 i ...

upcoming new rear springs and shocks

2005 SE 4x4 186K miles. so i took my pathy for a routine oil change only to learn that my rear springs are busted. of course i took it to the youtube to get a clearer picture as to what exactly his may entail, and in the process came to a realization that i may as well change my rear shocks as well....

thanks, smj999smj. is there a reason why engine light does not come on for this type of failure? i am just curious since i came on in the past when other sensors failed.

also, what are the chances that its not a faulty sensor, and how can i check?

thanks!

high oil pressure

2005 SE 4x4 noticed the other day that my oil pressure gauge is at its absolute max when i am driving, and just barely below it when idling. typically the arrow is smack in the middle when idling, and never at max even when driving. the temp is exactly where it always is and engine warning light is ...
