I got my LEDs put in yesterday. A word of advice, if they don't light up, put them in the other way. LEDs only work if installed correctly. + to + and - to -. The polarity does matter unlike the incandescent bulbs that came out.

It could be the tie rod ends. What you could do is add a little wd40 to 1 joint at a time and go for a drive to see if the steak stops. If it quits after a quick lube, that's your joint. Not a permanent fix, just a way to locate the squeaky culprit without throwing parts at it. My lower ball joint o...

I found that 3 of the 4 rear shock bolts were seized into the bushings. Even after using penetrating oil for a week before trying to remove them, I ended up cutting 2 out. What a pain in the ass. I can imagine the control arms would be just as bad. I need a bigger compressor before I try taking cont...

Rear springs broken

So I ordered new Armada springs for my pathfinder because the rear end on my truck was sagging badly. The bump stop was basically my entire rear suspension. When I got the old springs out I found both springs were broken in the same place. Basically the entire first coil was gone. https://farm4.stat...

You need to buy a pair of the Rancho RS9000xl shocks with the QuickLift struts to get the refund though.

I didn't know that Nissan didn't recommend replacing ball joints. I guess they should have put them in more permanently then, or just made it one solid unit. My bushings didn't seem bad on the control arms so I just opted for the best ball joints I could get. They aren't all bad yet, but since I'm p...

Thupertrooper is correct. I thought these shocks would be made for extended travel. It says in their description for use with 0 to 1 3/4" of lift, but they are the same length as the stock shocks. They are the limiting factor for downward travel. I may have to put a limiting strap through the c...

Well rock auto customer service sucks. They cannot guarantee me all the same type of part if I return them. Plus they refuse to cover the shipping to send the weird one back, so I can just buy one local. They say the fit and function should be the same, but the new one is obviously thicker. I really...

My parts are here. Warm weather coming Thursday, so that's when the parts will go on. The Rancho spacers fit the armada springs perfectly. Can wait to ride on these.

Redesigned Moog parts

So I ordered new ball joints and tie rod ends from rock auto, all Moog parts. They all had the grease boots except 1 of the lower ball joints. I was pissed and contacted rock auto. Apparently Moog has redesigned their joints and seals. I've requested all new parts, but haven't heard back from them y...

I had the same thing and replacing all four rubber bumpers fixed the problem on my '08. Comparing the new and old bumpers, there was only about a 1/4" difference. Takes about 10 minutes to change all four. I only have 2 on my 2006. Are you saying you did the window bumpers too? At this link I ...

Do you recall where you got them? Nissan dealership is my best guess but there isn't one too close to me. I'll do some searching online.

Photobucket sucks on my phone. Way too many advertisements. I used Flickr to post the photo above. Anybody able to use their Google account to post photos? I can use Flickr for now, but I still don't know what the vent is for.

My springs will arrive tomorrow and I plan on installing them Wednesday or Thursday. I really need to get something under this pig. Thanks DiBo for adding that info. I'm certain these will raise the rear on my truck, since I'm basically sitting on the bump stops already. I'll post photos.

I love black wheels. I ran some black pro comp steels on my explorer before I got the pathfinder. I was wondering if I could get 15s on this, but if you can't fit 16s the answer is obvious. I would have probably gone with a little more backpacking personally. I don't like my tires to extend quite th...
