Glass lifts installed.....took about 20 minutes. Thanks for the help. The only thing I did differently is that I only loosened the spring-steel clips by prying in the center with a flatblade screwdriver. Re-installing was really easy...just pushed them back on the ball.

OK....I see there is a plastic piece that slides out of the way so you can access a torx drive screw on the upper anchor point.....can't figure out what to do with the clip on the other end though.

I took off the cap and looked down into the container and tried to see where the level is according to the line....I assume the line I see is a 'max' level....but the level is right at th...

How do you replace the glass struts? I thought I should ask before I break something. Do you unscrew the ends while they are still attached to the glass or is there a way to remove the strut from the glass with the 'end' still attached?

pretty easy to install. 8 bolts total and your done. You remove the special ends/brackets from the old struts by unscrewing them & installing them on the new struts. They were only hand-tight.You need something to prop up hatch during the changeover

I just installed 200 lb struts last night (9416K148). I wouldn't go any bigger than the 200 lb struts. I'm sure I will get used to moving out of the way of the hatch quickly when I open it....which is ten times better than getting hit in the head all winter long. I also had to move some stuff out of...

I wore out a set of Kumho Road Venture APT KL51 in 20,000 miles. They were rotated every 5k & properly inflated. Had to replace the OE Generals at 23,000....wondering if anybody gets better wear out of their tires than that or is this typical.
