I have the 4600's and the Moog's The Moogs started off pretty hard but, I was pleased with the Extra ride height. Under load they perform beautifully and give a real planted feel the Pathfinder. I towed a 4600 lb Travel trailer this year and was very please with the way it handled the weight.

Yes clockwise should unlock and counter clockwise should lock. I'm wondering if the linkage has come off inside the door. Do you hear any kind of mechanical movement in the door when you turn the key? You should hear a "clunk" inside the door as you move the linkage. Nothing worse then not...

Nothing worse then putting a part in and it solves the problem but, sounds terrible. It's even worse when it's super labour intensive!!!
At least it should be quicker the second time as you've done it once before.

I had to replace mine, it was surprisingly cheap at $70 CAD at our local dealer but, $30 on eBay is much cheaper. Good to know if mine ever goes again.
It's just a 12 Volt output, I wonder if a guy could just put some white or Red Standard LED Car strips in there????
