Will replacement transponder key cause lockout?

I need to make a copy of my 2007 PF key which is a transponder key. I do not really need the key to start the car, just open the door. Can Walmart/Home Depot/Lowes/Ace Hardware cut a simple copy of this type key? I recall going to Walmart a couple years ago and they told me they could not make a cop...

2008 master windows switch repair tutorial?

The master window switch on my 08 PF is acting up. it controls both rear windows fine. The passenger window is not perfect, but I can almost always control it if I use the right touch. The driver side is the real problem... I can get it to work but it can often take twenty or more tries to get it to...

Ok I am going to do the simple wiring of the horn button for the time being. The only issue I have right now is trying to find a pathway(hopefully on the drivers side) where I can fish the wires through the firewall. Any guidance on some options?

I just might do it that way, but what is the method of hooking it up so the horn still works with the alarm? There are two airhorns facing each other... one has a snap-on harness attached that has a green wire and a black wire, and the other horn has two black wires(if one is actually gray then it i...

Help with installing button horn

I believe the clockspring in the steering wheel is bad so I need to wire up a button horn to pass inspection. I bought the Wolo HWK-1 horn wiring kit(I wish I knew how to insert pics in this post to show it) and it has a pre-wired relay plug which I guess is supposed to plug onto a horn relay. Where...

Vibration around 40mph and metallic popping

My wife drives the 2008 PF so I am not sure of all the symptoms, but she told me she has been experiencing a slight vibration/shaking at 40-50mph. It stops when she lets off the gas. She asked me to check it out last night and as I was backing out of the driveway, I noticed a metallic, sort of "...

I can't recall the code but it is definitely the fts code. I had it scanned at two different shops. So this would not be a vehicle where there would possibly be a harness on the outside that might just need re-seating? How much of an issue it a faulty fts?

Where is the fuel temp sensor located?

I am getting the fuel temp sensor code on a 2008 PF. Can anyone tell me how to get to it and any troubleshooting steps to take before actual replacement?

Thank goodness, turned out to be the hose to the power steering pump came off so it was not brake fluid that got on everything. Easy fix.

Brake fluid spurted everywhere after autobody repair

2008 Pathfinder LE. So I had a tree fall on the front end of my car, more to the middle driver's side, It crushed the hood, grill, and pushed in the front upper frame around the engine bay a few inches. It was enough to cause some damage to the radiator. I have insurance so it was covered. I took it...

Spent yesterday doing almost everything - oil change, bypass, and installation of sensor. SES light cleared out no more vdc off/slip light. Pickup fees more responsive and stronger and of course it cranks like it should now. All that's left to do is change trannie fluid. Thx for all the help.

I think you are confusing the transfer case with the transmission pan. The transmission pan has a 19MM drain plug and uses a Nissan 11026-01M02 crush washer. You won't lose a lot of transmission fluid doing the bypass...maybe not even enough to have to top the fluid off. If you want to drain the tr...

Thx, I'll be getting whichever is cheaper at Advance or Wally. I've heard some say that as long as you're doing the bypass that's a good time to drain the tranny fluid, but will that really get out a significant amount compared to using the actual drain plug? I don't have a 10mm hex socket for that ...
