smj- you are correct. Since I had the spring compressed too much and the lower spring seat installed upside down, I opted to keep the 2" height setting. I am pleased with the stance now. It appears much more level now. As I said, the ride is infinitely better. I will take a full side profile pi...

As far as ride. . .the ride is infinitely better now then when installed incorrectly. The ride is good. I will withold judgement when comparing to stock. I want to drive it for a week or so before I formulate more of an opinion. As of now, I only drove the truck for about 1-2 miles from the fleet ga...

OK, so I took my truck to the fleet garage at work. The guys there are awesome. Set me up with a lift and access to one of their tool boxes. About hour and a half later, she was put back together correctly. Here is are pics of the strut assemblies on both sides installed CORRECTLY. Passenger Side: h...

Made a call to 4x4parts.com (Automotive Customizers) and figured out my problem. TO anyone installing these Bilstein 5100 height adjustable shocks, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT to install the lower spring seat correctly. I installed mine upside down. This has allowed for additional lift, excesss compression...

doctajones- I thought it weird to get the 3+ inch of lift out of it as well. I plan to move them down one notch perhaps two. I really don't want to do the job potentially two more times to get the truck level. I will, however, do what I must. I was wondering about what the weight difference is in th...

Once everything was reassembled and the front passenger wheel was reinstalled, I set the truck back on the ground for some measurements. The front fender measured 3 1/8" higher than the original measurement. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c379/canderso1970/DSCN0394_zps6bcb5544.jpg The rear f...

Well got back out to the truck this afternoon to finish the job. The front passenger side proved to be much more difficult than any of the others. The top nut on the strut assemble was rusted fast. I soaked it several times yesterday during the course of doing the other three corners. I also made su...

First big post. . .installed Bilstein 5100s for a 2" li

So I picked up this 2011 Nissan Pathfinder Silver Edition 4wd truck in of course silver. Didn't want to cause confusion with the "Silver" tag on the back of the truck with something that wasn't, well silver. Anyway, my research began immediately looking for a lift for this truck. I plan to...

My personal recovery system right now is a 10,000lb come-a-long and a couple of yellow recovery straps. Was thinking about "moving up" in the world. But as far as space and additional work to modify the truck, a come along wil continue to work just fine. I don't get stuck that often anyway...

Just bought my 2011 Pathfinder Silver edition in Silver. Oly's rig is now the inspiration for mine. Lift is on order. Talked to the guys at 4x4parts.com. Placed an order for the Bilstein 5100 ride height adjustable shocks, the Bilstein 5100 series rear shocks, rear spacers, and camber alignment bolt...

I assume the rear spot lights are Rigid LEDs as well? The lights look good all around. I am planning to put one or two wide angle Rigid LEDs on the rear of my Path. What are you planning for as far as wire routing?

I could be up for a ride through the Pines. Although, my rig is completely stock. I am sitting at the computer, reading, reading, and reading some more trying to decide what is the best, most practical lift for me. Two inch should be enough for me. especially right now. Just trying to decide the bes...

Front Tow hitch?

Just recently purchased a 2011 Nissan Pathfinder for towing and hunting. I plan to tow a utility trailer and a 16' mod-v john boat for hunting. The some of the ramps I use in the winter are unimproved dirt ramps. Depending on tide level, the dirt can be soft dirt or mud. I was thinking about adding ...
