Sounds like I will need to do a seafoam on the truck, but definitely need to change the fan clutch. Seems like is locked and causing the mechanical fan to spin 100% of the time, which will kill fuel economy.

I know this is an old thread, but I figured I would try here. My 2010 with 90k miles has a loud fan on start up, it sounds like the vehicle is "roaring". It gets quieter once warmed up, but then under load when driving, the fan gets louder as engine speed rises. My fuel mileage has gotten ...

loud roar from fan on startup and during driving

My 2010 Pathfinder 4.0L literally roars everywhere I go. On startup it roars to life with the fan being extremely loud, and then during regular driving the fan roars along with the speed of the engine. Initially I liked this, but I am sure it is sucking a good amount of fuel economy away. Any idea o...

Really nice video. I wonder if replacement of these front sway bar bushings will solve my front end squeaking issues.

I noticed as the weather gets colder, the bushings are more likely to make this creaking noise. It has gotten pretty bad now with the winter. It sounds horrible over bumps.

Front creaking over bumps squeaking when turning sharply

I am getting a creaking from my front end over bumps and a squealing / creaking when doing sharp turns during parking.

Any idea what would be causing this?

2010 Pathfinder LE 4.0 with 88k miles on it.

Thanks

It can be any of a number of things, but many times it's the evaporative emission system vent control valve that is the problem. The valve can stick open, causing a leak code during testing. Eventually, this can lead to dirt building up in the vapor canister. The valve, itself, has been updated wit...

Can someone tell me where the hell I am going wrong here? I went under the truck and I saw a line leading from the junction on the bottom passenger circled in red, back to the transmission: https://i.imgur.com/sxPc4HO.jpg Then i saw a line leading from the bottom driver side of the radiator leading ...

Who wants to do my bypass mod in the NYC area? I absolutely suck and cannot figure this out. On the left side (driver side) of the radiator, I see the cooler. There is ONE hose coming out of the cooler and it enters the bottom of the radiator. On the right side of the radiator there is ONE hose comi...

OK from the thread linked above I grabbed these instructions from smj999smj for the 2008-2010 models. Materials: • two feet of 5/16" (8MM) transmission cooler hose • some miniature hose clamps • a plastic tie strap • two, 5/16" caps. • ATF - a quart of Nissanmatic Type "J&qu...

dismal fuel mileage - 270 miles per tank?

2010 4.0L LE with 90k miles. I am getting absolutely dismal fuel mileage - around 270 miles per tank. Although this is mainly city driving, when driving on the highway it doesnt get much better. Any ideas what can be causing this? My tires are inflated properly, and the only ECU code I currently hav...

Thanks for the input all.

I pulled the blower, and hit it a few times, and reinstalled and it worked.

It was getting power, and it had resistance across the leads before I hit it and reinstall it. I wonder if there is a way to oil it?
