[quote="MARKSPATH"] FWIW, I also tried to find the Firestone Ride-Rite kit locally in and around Salt Lake City, and nobody stocks them, either. [/quote Mark, As far as stocking these things, they are a low-volume seller, and have so many different part numbers, that I doubt if anyone stoc...

I went with the Firestone Air Rite for my 07 2WD because others here have complained about the AirLifts losing air at the hose connections, also because the Air Rite product is specified for both 2WD and 4WD. After almost one year, everything is perfect. They work great to firm up the rear and they ...

Good, it sounds like you have it under control. If the tongue weight was light, it would be wagging all over the place. In Europe, they go down to seven or eight percent on the tongue and it seems to work OK. I don't know why we Americans want more, but I would be cautious about going less.

Even so, at 2400 lb and maybe 240 lb on the tongue, that looks great. I'm thinking they may have increased the rear spring rate for '08. Before I got my travel trailer, I tried to estimate the drawbar drop I would need to achieve the proper ball height. I stood on the ball and measured the sag. I am...

Is that picture without airbags? If so, do you know how much tongue weight you have? With 3500 lb and normal tongue weight of 350-400, that thing should be down 3-4 inches at the hitch (at least mine was with the same weight).

I installed the Firestone airbags on my 07 2WD. They really work great. I went with Firestone because some other posters indicated problems with the AirLift hose connections leaking and the hose connections here are different. So far, the system holds air pressure indefinitely. BTW, the same Firesto...

I have the Firestone airbags on my 2007 2WD. When towing my TT (400 lb tongue weight with a dead weight hitch), the difference is amazing. No more sag, no bouncing and as an added bonus, stuff in the cabinets in the trailer doesn't get tumbled around any more. Get them!

I tagged on to this old thread to add some new information. Several R51 2WD owners, including myself, wanted to add air bags to the springs. Firestone now sells the Coil-Rite air bags for 2WD and 4WD versions. (The same kit fits both.) http://www.fsip.com/riderite They work great! The ride is no lon...
