Drove me crazy when I first got mine – just on principle. I installed new bumpers and had to adjust them almost all the way out. Hood is solid now.

Sorry, I just realized you said you're smelling it when the shade is open, not necessarily the sunroof glass. If that's the case, I'd say, yeah, there's some moisture above your headliner.

Are you smelling it when you're moving or sitting still?

Just picked up the truck from the mechanic and he said the driver side manifold was split wide open. Though the passenger side did not appear to be split, he replaced both sides because the manifolds he got this time had a modification where the split was. The scary thing is that the last replacemen...

The problem is also the fact that labor is $1200 to replace them.

I'm wondering if there's something else causing them to split. Seems kind of soon for them to both to break again.

V8 Exhaust Manifolds

Any of you V8 guys ever have repeat issues with your exhaust manifolds? I had both of mine replaced last October ($3,000 for factory Nissan manifolds) and I just found out they're cracked again. They're being replaced under warranty but it makes me want to get rid of the truck for when they break ag...

I second the WeatherTech. With kids, animals, weather, and leaking beach snacks, the raised lip has saved us more than a few times.

We love that, after a beach trip, we can pull the liner out and simply dump the sand, dirt, and spilled apple juice. A quick rinse and it looks brand new.

Agreed, get the V8 if you can afford it. I own a V8 and drive a V6 on occasion; the V8 is a better experience all around. I get about 18 mpg on a 5 hour trip to the beach and 16 mpg in rush hour traffic on the DC beltway. A loaded roof rack robs about 1.5 mpg on the highway but interior payload weig...

If you're using the original housing, you'll get better light from a tungsten halogen bulb. Your reflector was designed to provide optimal light focus from the position and length of a tungsten filament. HID and LED bulbs don't use filaments and, therefore, require a different reflector shape and/or...

I've had that seal and a pinion seal replaced a couple of times at the dealership. It's cheap and it doesn't take them long, so it can't be hard.

Those seals and the serpentine belt/tensioner are things that go bad about every two years for some reason on my truck.

I have both and definitely think they're worth the investment. The bags keep the rear from sagging and, to my surprise, they hold air really well. Mine have held 20 lbs for three years, now, without having to be topped off. The Bilsteins made a big difference in my '08 because I was riding on the or...

I just did rotors, parking brakes and my rear shocks this weekend. Driver side came off without issue; passenger side bolt was frozen inside the strut mount just like Oreogaborio described. The strut and mount had to be cut exactly how he described. While I was in there I also replaced a broken sway...

Mine made a ticking noise when cold. Both sides were cracked, which is apparently quite common. Mine didn't crack until about 125K miles. $3500 for parts and labor.

Rear Shock Bolt Part Numbers

Doing my shocks next weekend and want to be ready in case I have to cut the rear bolts. Anyone know the part numbers for the bolts and nuts? Can't find them in the parts diagrams anywhere.
