OK, the dying problem was a bad battery. I put a nice new one in it, but I'm still having the issue with my turn signal. Like I said before, it blinks fine until I hit the brake pedal. Then it blinks fast. I noticed when the turn signal is blinking normally (not on brakes) one of the filaments in t...

you can take to auto parts house and they read for free. autozone etc.
or buy a code reader, they have come down in price, check amazon etc. any OBDII reader will give basic info.

you don't say how much he wants for it ? Well i would say, as the owner of a 2003, why not a 2001 -2004 with the VQ engine, they are much faster and as good or better on fuel consumption. Yes the VQ comes with some baggage but rest of vehicle is great. You get chains instead of timing belts, a later...

I would/ did put the hub last on my list. how did they determine it needed replacement? did they do a run-out measurement or is this one of those we replace this and it didn't work, so we will replace this next !!!! So the Hub is easy to replace except the drive-shaft bearing is in the hub, so you n...

on the shortish runs with temps here in high 80's and low 90's this doesn't seem to get hot. I know the floor and transmission tunnel does get hot on long journeys. If you remove your center consul and boots around the levers, there is normally two on vehicles I have worked on. maybe the lower one i...

If you read the Paint code on the label you should be able to order it from the Auto parts stores.
Look on passenger side firewall, 3 character code of letters and numbers.

Only issue I could potentially see would be at the front hubs. Perhaps the front wheels are made differently, but I'm just speculating. The main problem I can think of is the bore size is different 2wd to 4 wd. I checked my 2003 4wd wheels and think they will clear manual hubs as well as Nissan fix...

My 2003 SE 4x4 was rated 15 mpg City and 19 mpg highway, and 2wd 16 and 21 mpg. So I get 14 or 15 around town and 18 +- on the highway. Yes I can get 19 or 19.5 if i keep speed down under favorable conditions, but with speed limits going up that's rare now, 80 mph limit on last out of town trip !!! ...

OK, here are some more things it started doing. The left turn signal blinks slowly or not at all when pressing the brake pedal. It works fine when off the brake. ... have you looked at the left turn signal front and back with the brake depressed ? The lamp that goes out or dims may have a bad ground.

Re: Nissan Pathfinder Won't Start

johnny_boy wrote:The problem was fixed after pulling out the relay and putting everthing back together. I hope the problem does not come back on a long road trip.

Thank you!
I would suggest getting a new relay, if old one failed or stuck it will happen again.
