Aiming fog lights?

Are the fog lights aimable? Had one replaced and asked them if they aimed it – the guy said the fog lights don't aim – they just mount. Seems odd to me.

Not sure if you've figured this out yet but I bought a couple of Yakima Raptor Aero Upright rails that I mount direct to my R51 factory cross bars via the Universal Mighty Mounts and they fit well. Only thing is that the cross bars arch (by design) so the bikes lean outward slightly. Works well enou...

Ha! I definitely feel cursed. You're lucky to have a shop that'll admit tires can be defective. When I suggest to my tire shops that the tires are defective, they look at me like I have three heads. I had to fight the guy at Pep Boys to even test drive the car. Me: "The car vibrates violently a...

Bad tires?

Has anyone else gotten a bad set of tires recently? I got a set of Michelins that were out of round (all four), a set of Firestones that have "too much RoadForce to be balanced," and a GoodYear replacement on my wife's Infiniti that was defective – all in a matter of two months, all from d...

Transmission and rear end are different between the V6 and V8, too.

Here's a decent (albeit old) discussion: http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic. ... 2a7a6d6e7a

I can definitely see why they would get good reviews. They look great and have a notably smoother ride. Surprisingly, some guys on the tech forums say they see quite a few defective LTXs. I was really looking forward to taking them through the sand in the Outer Banks this summer. Let us know how you...

Michelin Defender LTX M/S

Just got a set of these and all four are defective. Had them remounted and balanced three times before a different shop finally put them on a Hunter and showed me that they were way out of round. I'm bummed because they're a nice looking tire and they ride really smoothly (aside from the out-of-roun...

I would definitely try - especially if you're still within the 30 day warranty period. I'm in Maryland and every dealer-sold vehicle has to pass a rigorous inspection where nothing is allowed to leak or seep.

I love Carmax. They charge top of the value range, but they also gave me 30 days to make a list of everything that needed fixing. I made a list of about 20-some things and they fixed every single one. They even made sure I had an owner's manual. Compare that to my buddy who got a deal on his Pathfin...

I'd bet you have a tire wear issue — most likely cupping or feathering. Any number of suspension issues (alignment, shocks, wheel bearing, bushings, etc) can cause your tires to wear unevenly which affects your ride. I had my local Firestone realign and rebalance my wheels four times before another ...

I have 175K miles on my truck now and it actually hasn't been terrible in terms of reliability. As one would expect, I've replaced a few suspension components, bushings, and have had a few portions of the muffler replaced. I've replaced the exhaust manifolds twice but that's a V8 thing. I also have ...

I had the same thing and replacing all four rubber bumpers fixed the problem on my '08. Comparing the new and old bumpers, there was only about a 1/4" difference. Takes about 10 minutes to change all four. I only have 2 on my 2006. Are you saying you did the window bumpers too? At this link I ...

Are you sure it's coming from the tensioner? Mine ticked on cold mornings and it was a cracked exhaust manifold. The ticking would stop when the metal warmed up enough to expand to close the cracks.

How fast is the vibration? Rumble strips-fast is the transmission; bent rim-fast is usually the u-joints or driveline.
