A/T FLUID

Postby 99.5Pathy » Wed Apr 22, 2009 7:16 pm

Hello everybody,

Just a simple question. I don want to change the automatic transmission fluid of my 1999.5 Nissan Pathfinder. The manual says that I should replace the A/T fluid with Nissan "D" fluid. I went to the auto part and I can only find Dexron or "F" A/T fluid. Is Dexron the same as "D"?
Thank you

Just had mine replaced by local service, don't know which fluid he used but there is an additive too be used with A/T fluid which allows you to use the non-Nissan A/T fluid. As Owners Manual states you have to used THEIR A/T fluid, but there is an alternative.
