Shocks and struts

Postby stevendude » Tue Jul 21, 2009 6:10 am

So I just found out that my shocks and struts have busted. They must have bottomed out or something because the metal rod in the strut isn't covered by the plastic thing and excuse me for not knowing what these things are called. But anyway, the fluid leaked out and everything. Now everytime I hit a bump, it's a really rough ride. Is it safe to take it on a 2-hour road trip?

i wouldn't suggest it. if you have to make a emergency stop or manuver arouind any obstacles it could pose a problem. the shocks absorb the bumps from the road abd rebound to maintain stability. you could have an accident.
