4wd locked and not locked?

hey, i have a question.

when i shift my 1994 pathfinder 4x4 automatic into 4wd there are 2 different indicator lights that sometimes come on

one of them is a green light with 4 wheels and the axles/driveshaft

the other light is a green light with 4 wheels and the axles/driveshaft but the front wheels turned off to the side

im assuming this has something to do with locking one or more of the differentials, but im not really sure.


are there different 4wd modes on the WD21? what procedure is used to get into each?
