Changing auto transmission to 5 speed

Postby jtrich » Mon Dec 21, 2009 4:00 am

Has anyone swapped the auto trans for a 5 speed? I am trying to buy a pathfinder for a hunting truck and definitely want a five speed. I have found several on craigs list cheap with bad auto transmissions. Just wondering if it would be worth it to change out to 5 speed.

Ok, transmission, flywheel, clutch, brake/clutch pedal assembly, clutch hydraulics (master cylinder, slave cylinder, and lines), ECU and I'm not sure about Pathys, but I'm told some vehicles use a completely different wiring harness as well (although I'm fairly certain that the only thing truly different is the pinout on the connector for the ECU)

That *should* be everything you'll need......(I think)
