So I want to lift....

Postby LC619FR » Wed Jun 02, 2010 7:59 pm

So I can't seem to leave vehicles alone and when we bought my wife a 2010 Path I had the same itch to someway make it our own. I'd like to give it a better stance and am pretty compitent when it comes to straight axle vehicles, but am kind of lost when it comes to IFS/IRS. I don't want to go to high maybe 2". We have tires for life from are dealership so we're kind of stuck at the 265/75/16 BFG Rugged Ridge tires that come from the factory. Can you all give me a point in the right direction, maybe post up pictures of your ride. Thanks for anyhelp.

many of us have gone full OME suspension...give about what you are looking for (maybe a tad more). been very happy w/ mine so far (off and on road). will definitely fit those tires fine.

believe there is a bilstein set up (or partial set up as well). think that the PRG might give you more than you are looking for.

there are other options (rancho quicklift to name one), but i haven't heard anything good about them.

I don't see the 05 & up Pathfinder supported on the OME/ARB web site any longer. Does anyone know if that kit is still available?

You can still get the Biltsein 2" kit at www.4x4parts.com.

https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/deluxe ... -5843.html

There are other options there as well.

OME 2.5" Available here: http://www.rocky-road.com/pathfindersus.html

There is a new disclaimer, reads as follows:
North America Pathfinder Owners 2005+, please be advised: On US and Canada Nissans, this kit provides around 2.5" of lift which has been known to cause alignment problems leading to a potentially poor handling vehicle. No warranty on any late pathfinder suspension components and no returns.

I believe that if you have an 05 you have camber bolts that allow you to adjust the alignment within spec.

From prg's website

If you have any Nissan truck built after 2006, it did not come with adjustable lower a-arm pivot bolts. These bolts are often needed to properly align the truck. These come in sets of 4 bolts, 8 washers, and 4 nyloc nuts.
