Postby BMXPath » Sun Aug 22, 2010 6:16 am

Looking in the parts computer at Advance Auto Parts, there are finally numbers listed for KYB shocks and struts for the R51! I work at Advance parrt time and I am always cruisin' the computer catalog for anything new.

The numbers are listed, with a footnote stating they will be available in the 3rd 1/4 of 2010. No prices are listed yet.

Front GR-2 struts, 341468

Rear GR-2 shocks, 345056
Rear Gas-A-Just shocks, 555057

Cool, a fellow AAP employee :)

Good to know that about the KYB's. I'll have to keep an eye out in APAL.

KYB's are better than oem, and certainly better than anything that Monroe makes.

I used KYB's on a car I used to autocross race and they were awesome, not that I am gonna autocross the Pathy. I think KYB shocks are about the best "bang for the buck" as far as aftermarket shocks/ struts go.

The other great thing is KYB gives us at least one more option. A/M shocks/ struts have been pretty limited for the R51 so far.
