OBDII to Bluetooth?

Postby gond34 » Sun Mar 20, 2011 7:23 am

Just curious if anyone has tried one of the OBD to Bluetooth devices for your cell phone (OBDkey, ScanTool.net)? I just picked up the new HTC Thunderbolt phone and it was a HUGE screen and thought that if these things work, it would be a pretty neat feature to have...

Well I actually use the Torque app and hace diagnosed a few other cars. It's also a great realtime tool but it is only 5 bucks for the app. as for the adapter, you can get the cheap ELM327 model like I did for like 30 bucks or get the 150+ tools that they recommend. Either way it should work fine.

When I upgraded my phone it was the same . Maybe your phone doesn't have the capability to pair with the device?
