I don't have nav, but it doesn't really matter as far as the rear entertainment goes. I just used the aux in line for audio from the dvd player.volvite wrote:Thanks. I've seen that thread, but I can't seem to find if he had the same bose head unit. I was thinking of going aftermarket as well. How has the audiovox unit held up? Anything you would do different?
Yes, basically just split the audio, it goes to the back of the aux input plug and to the lcd unit, where it is transmitted over infrared to the headphones. I can use them independently or at the same time.volvite wrote:Ok. I didn't know that. Did you splice in from the rear? Also if you don't want to listen through the car speakers, can you still use the headphones?
Thats all you need. I was lucky enough to get the dvd player and lcd with pigtails, so I had the connectors.....I then spliced my own wiring between the 2. The pigtails are hard or near impossible to find.volvite wrote:Thanks for the info. Next question, when I look for a used unit, what parts do i need to look for? The list I can think of is:
The screen/monitor
DVD player
Supporting wires from screen to dvd player
Not sure what else.
Thanks. Do you remember which model number you have? Also did you install it yourself or some other company?JAHBLESSINGS wrote:the audiovox unit works flawlessly.volvite wrote:Thanks.
